The Naliboksky Republican Landscape Reserve is located in the west of Belarus, 65 km from Minsk and covers an area of ​​86,892 hectares, making it one of the largest reserves in the country. The reserve's fauna includes all six classes of vertebrates native to Belarus: cyclostomes, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. The reserve is officially designated an Important Bird Area. Fifty-one species listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Belarus have been identified within its boundaries. Furthermore, a number of animal and bird species listed in the European Red Data Book, as well as those of pan-European conservation importance, have been recorded within its boundaries.
