The building of the former landed-of the Peasant Bank built in 1917, designed by architect Tarasov.
The bank lasted only a few years. Already in 1921, the agricultural school is located in the building, and in 1924 the Veterinary Institute founded here. During the Second World War it is located the German field commandant's office and the secret police. Today, the bank building is the main housing of the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy.
On three sides of the building are located towers, the gable is decorated with a mosaic emblem of Vitebsk in 1781, and in the decoration found ancient Russian elements: framing the windows by «kokoshniks», rustication decoration of walls.
