The Sula Medieval History Park invites guests to celebrate Kupalle – one of the most colorful and mysterious Belarusian holidays, which intertwines the cult of ancestors, vegetation, and fertility. Since time immemorial, people have performed rituals at this time of year: dancing in circles and singing songs, weaving wreaths and setting them afloat, and searching for the coveted «paparats-kvetka». In Belarus, the traditions of celebrating Kupalle have survived to this day and are carefully passed down to future generations.

Our walking tour of Vitebsk will take you from the 12th-century Annunciation Church, the oldest in Belarus, to iconic monuments restored to their former glory. We'll stroll along streets that have preserved and restored their 18th-19th-century architecture, learn about holy sites that, unfortunately, have not survived, and feel the spirit of history as we stroll through the same places trodden by Alexander Nevsky, Grand Duke Olgerd, and even Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Our route is inextricably linked with art. We'll immerse ourselves in Vitebsk's creative heritage, learning about the contributions of such masters as Ilya Repin and Kazimir Malevich, and, of course, retracing the footsteps of the city's greatest genius, Marc Chagall. We invite you to embark on a unique journey through Polotsk, one of the oldest cities in Belarus, located on the banks of the Western Dvina River. Founded in the 9th century, it became the first capital of the Belarusian state and the center of Orthodoxy in Eastern Europe. As you follow the tour route, you'll discover amazing sights—from the cobbled streets of the Upper Castle, where the atmosphere of majestic medieval times reigns, to the narrow streets of the city center, adorned with the graceful facades of old houses preserving the appearance of bygone eras. The famous St. Sophia Cathedral is also located here, testifying to Polotsk's importance in the formation of Orthodox culture in Eastern Europe. Visitors to this ancient city can see monuments to the great enlighteners Simeon of Polotsk and Francysk Skaryna, admire the river view from the embankment, and touch the mysterious symbol of the letter "Ў."
