Belorussian excursion portal Ekskursii.by invites you to visit the festival of medieval culture "Golshany Castle 2017" dedicated to the 595th anniversary of the marriage of Sophia Golshanskaya is the ancestor of the Jagiellonian dynasty.
The Festival of Medieval Culture "Golshansky Castle" will be held May 20, 2017. in the town of Golshany, Oshmyany district, Grodno region. The fest begins with a festive liturgy in honor of Sofia Golshanskaya, which will take place in the Orthodox Church and also in the church of the town. The area near the castle, where all the main events of the festival will be held, will be divided into several zones. On the "Central Stage" stage there will be theatrical performances, a master class on medieval dances, there will be a night storm of the fortress, and also music folk groups will perform. The headliner of the festival is the group "Stary Olsa". Horse and knight tournaments will be organized in the "Knight's camp zone" archery tournaments will be held, the Golden Spur historical reconstruction club will feature a fascinating theatrical horse show. The playground will also work, trade will be developed in the "City of Masters" and the work of public catering facilities will be organized. The festival will end with colorful fireworks.
