News : Folk holiday Maslenitsa in «Strochitsy»

Internet portal Ekskursii.by and Museum of Folk Architecture and life of Strochitsy is invited on March 5, 2022 to the Slavic holiday Maslenitsa. You can truly plunge into the atmosphere of a national holiday, take part in the 7 days of the Maslenitsa week and traditional festivities, as well as try yourself in various games and fun!

Maslenitsa is an ancient Slavic holiday symbolizing the farewell to winter. Traditionally, the holiday lasts a week and each day of this week has its own name and rituals that must be performed. The culmination of the holiday is Sunday, on which they burn the effigy of winter - «Marena». This ritual is a symbol of the beginning of spring!
