St. Ilya Church in Radoshkovochi
To book a tourSt. Ilya Church was built in the beginning of the ХХ twentieth century. It is located on the main street of Radoshkovichi that once was a part of an old «shljach» - a trade rout better known as the Vilna or Old Vilna tract. The temple is located on a hill that is visible from different sides of the village.
According to historians, in the XV century there was a wooden church in Radoshkovichi. Later stone Intercession Church was built on its place, but in 1941 the temple was badly damaged by fire that also destroyed the whole village.
St. Ilya Church was built by local architects in Radoshkovichi in 1942. During the Nazi occupation, the temple served as a symbol of faith and support for the Orthodox belivers of the village.
