Blagoveshchensk church with a monastery in Lyady

Blagoveshchensk church in village Ljady - an architecture monument baroque , the latest baroque freaky temple of Belarus. It is erected in The XVII-th century end on a place of wooden church together with bazilian wooden monastery.

As the legend says, the monastery in Lyady has arisen on a special craft of God. Maiden Maria was to the peasant by name of Kirik and has specified an erection place orthodox temple which has been erected from a tree Ljadah and the neighboring population. In the beginning of a XVII-th century the wife of Zavishi , suffering from the heavy diseases and received healing from a wonder-working Zhirovichi icon of Bozhiej of Mother, has by way of gratuity offered in Ljadah church the list of this icon . The expanded rumor about the new miracles made before fertile image have induced family Zavishi to construct instead of decayed new wooden church and to base at it a monastery for bazilians. By the XVII-th century end the Ljadah monastery owned grounds and the capital, providing to it normal existence and possibility to begin new building. On monastic means and donations of same Zavishi in 1794 the stone church, and the stone monastic has been constructed the case was erected since 1811 and has taken a present form by 1850.

Monastery made huge impact on spiritual and moral education of the population, general educational education of youth. In the thirties XIX centuries, in connection with clarification unit churches from Catholic ceremonialisms, there was a probability of abolition of the Ljadah monastery. It has been turned into Orthodoxy.

In 1900 its first and last major repairs have been made. After the campaign which have begun in the Soviet period in the early twenties Ljadah the monastery has been closed. However in 1939 and it have closed.  In the first years of the Great Patriotic War the temple has renewed the activity. The occupational authorities have considered necessary to open church, have found the priest.

In 1960 the temple has been closed, its main relic — the Zhirovichsky icon of Bozhiej of Mother has disappeared. From a temple have broken a dome, church have transformed into a warehouse. Many long years The temple stood without supervision. In 1992 there was an official opening of parish church.
