The History and Cultural complex «Stalin's line» Minsk region informs:
On 9th May, 2012 the celebrations dedicated to Victory Day, will be held on the territory of the complex «Stalin`s line» - the historical and cultural museum. During the Second World War it was a chain of fortifications along the border of the USSR - from the Karelian isthmus to the shores of the Black Sea.

Once the complex «Stalin's Line» was a military fortification. Its length was about 1200 km. It consisted of 23 special districts and included more than 4000 bunkers. Today Stalin's Line is a military-historical museum in the open air with the area about 26 hectares. Here you can see the trenches and dugouts, bunkers and artillery command observation posts. Between these posts an extensive system of trenches was laid during the war. The unique ventilation, ejection of gun-powder gases systems, as well as the centralized system of water-cooling of machine guns were reconstructed in the historical museum.

On 9th May,2012 there will be the special program devoted to veterans of World War II in the Historical and Cultural Complex «Stalin`s line». On this day everyone will be able to visit the exhibition of retro military hardware and the exposition «Weapons of Victory», where each artifact is an evidence of the exploits of Soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. In the complex «Stalin's Line» you can see the historical reconstructions «Machine-gun bunker storm» (12 am) and «Summer of the 1944th» (3 pm).
