The complex Jesuit Collegium in Orsha
The Jesuit collegium is one of the best educational institutions of its time and one of the main attractions of Orsha. Earlier, the largest church of the city, founded by the Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Lev Sapieha adjoined to the elegant baroque complex. Unfortunately, the church did not survive. But the residential buildings that remember the apartments of Napoleon and Stendhal, and the collections of the best baroque dramas and interludes that are kept in the library of Wrocław are preserved. -
Elias Church in Orsha
For more than 500 years, on the picturesque bank of the Dnieper, temple stretches to the sky with its domes. This is the Church of the Holy Prophet Ilya - the oldest cult building of the city. Constructed of wood,it has changed its appearance more than once and has suffered from fires. And already at the end of the XIX century found reliable stone walls. At the same time, the women's Holy Assumption Monastery was revived here, which has been continues to this day. The openwork and light church of the pseudo-Russian style inspires both residents and guests of Orsha.

Orsha ethnographic museum ”Mill”
Water and wind - it was the main source of energy until the appearance of electric motors. And water mills are the most important industrial enterprises of cities. Because of the uselessness of most mills, only ruins remained, but not in Orsha. The majestic structure of red brick is once the most profitable enterprise in the entire Mogilev province. They believe that the building was sprinkled with blood - hence such high income. And now in the walls of the ancient mill, Ethnographic Complex «Mill» operates - its life continues to gain momentum. -
The memorial complex «Katyusha»
In the history of the Great Patriotic War, Orsha entered as a city where the first salvo of Katyusha was held. It lasted 8 seconds, but it was enough for the railway station with the German echelons to be completely engulfed by the flames. The power of explosions turned even locomotives, and 10-ton German tanks hurled like toy cubes. The memorial complex «Katyusha» was created in memory of the heroic act of the soldiers and their commander, who died while performing the combat mission. -
