«Garadotski Parnas» District Folk Art Festival of Belarusian Poetry and Folklore

June, 12 in Ostrovlyany, Gorodok district, there will be the annual «Garadotski Parnas» district holiday folk art of Belarusian poetry and folklore, in name of the famous poet Constantin Verenitsyn, the author of the poem «Taras Na Parnase».

Every year, there are concerts of district teams and guests from Vitebsk region, tasting the dishes of the Belarusian cuisine «Tarasauskiya Prysmaki», an exhibition-fair of souvenirs and workshops of craftsmen «Kirmash Lya Parnasa» and the district contest of handicrafts based on the poem and the image of the main character «Tsi Znau Khto Z Vas, Bratki, Tarasa».

As usual, a special event will be a celebration of poetry and song «Veranitsynskaya Zvyazda». There will also be a traditional action «Let's Read the Poem Together».
