Memory Day of Saint Cyril, Bishop of Turov

Every year on this day, Orthodox Christians remember the pious life of the bishop, educator and writer Cyril of Turov. Grateful descendants preserve and honor the memory of the saint for his spiritual and educational heritage, which is the symbol of the unity of the Slavic peoples. In his honor monuments are established, temples are erected. This year is not an exception - on May 11th, 2017 the Department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of Zhitkovichi district executive committee «Turov town House of Culture» will organize a festive event «Day of Remembrance of Saint Cyril, Bishop of Turov».
In this festival will take part: the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, who on the site of the ancient cathedral of Turov bishops on Castle Hill holds the Divine Liturgy, the Belarusian Orthodox bishops, bishops from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and many pilgrims.
