Orsha Linen Mill

Orsha Linen Mill is the largest producer of linen fabrics in Belarus and one of the leading manufacturers in Europe. More than 80% of its products are exported to over 40 countries worldwide, emphasizing its importance on the international market.

Historical Development of the Enterprise

The construction of the mill began in 1928, designed by architects A.S. Fisenko and I.S. Nikolaev. By 1937, the main workshops of the first factory, including spinning, weaving, and finishing production, were put into operation. In 1961 and 1972, the second and third factories were opened, significantly expanding the enterprise's production capacity.

Management and Key Figures

Over the years, various directors have led the mill, making significant contributions to its development. From 1941 to 1971, the director was Georgy Vasilyevich Semenov, under whose leadership the mill achieved great success. Since July 2023, Oleg Alekseevich Buyanov has been appointed as the general director.

Current Status and Products

Today, Orsha Linen Mill is a vertically integrated enterprise covering the full cycle of linen processing—from raw materials to finished products. The product range includes suit and blouse fabrics, bed and table linen, technical and decorative textiles, as well as ready-made clothing and accessories. The products are known for their high quality and environmental friendliness, confirmed by international certifications.

Achievements and Recognition

Orsha Linen Mill has repeatedly received awards for the high quality of its products and its contribution to the country's export potential. In 2013, the enterprise became a laureate of the Government of the Republic of Belarus Award for achievements in quality. Continuous technological upgrades and modernization of production processes allow the mill to maintain its leading position in the linen products market.
