Church in honor of an icon of Belynichi Mother of god

Church in honor of an icon of the Mother of god is constructed in the end of the XX-th century on a place were monastery, consecrated in 2002 in honor wonder-working icon Mother of god «Belynichsky» which was esteemed in all Christian world and has been lost in days of the Second World War.

Icon is one of Christian relics of Belarus. Under the orthodox version the Byzantian icon in XIII century is brought from Kievo-Pecherskaya lavra in a settlement temple on the river drut (nowadays the item of Belynichi The Mogilev district). At nightlong vigils the icon has wonderfully lit up. In Centuries being in orthodox (till 1596), unit, in Carmelite (with 1634 ) monasteries the face of the Defender heavenly exhaled miracles of healing from illnesses, consolations in griefs, the help in troubles. In 1635 K.Zavisha has presented to an icon a salary. Wonder-working the icon has got special glory during war of Russia from Rechju Pospolitoj of 1654-1667 when was in Ljahovichsky the lock also has helped to sustain a siege of Russian armies. In 1761 solemn crowning of an icon by the crowns consecrated in Rome has taken place. The icon remained in Belynichi and after transfer in 1876 of the Belynichi church to orthodox clergy. In 1930th years after closing of church the icon was stored in the Mogilev regional museum of local lore, whence has disappeared during II world war. Spis from this icon today is in church and it is esteemed by believers not only from Belarus. day of Celebrating - 25/12 April (nst/stst) .
