House ”Last shelter”

Type: The square and urban development Republic of Belarus, city of Minsk, Suhaya str., 25

The Little White House is a place with a tragic history connected to the events of World War II. It became the only refuge for the last prisoners of the Minsk ghetto. Shortly before the ghetto's liquidation, an experienced stoker and mason, Pinchas, created a reliable underground shelter beneath the house, where he managed to hide 26 people.

Life in this underground "hiding place" lasted for eight and a half months and was incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, not everyone survived these harsh conditions — only 13 people made it out alive. During the excursion, you will learn about how the prisoners fought for their lives, the challenges they faced, and what happened to them after liberation.

The Little White House is an essential stop on tours around Belarus, offering a deeper understanding of the tragic history of the Minsk ghetto and the bravery of those who risked their lives to save others. An excursion from Minsk to this place will be a deeply emotional experience, prompting reflection on the value of life and humanity. By booking this tour, you can connect with one of the most dramatic chapters in Belarusian history.
