Church of Peter and Paul in DrisvyatyTo book a tour
Church of Peter and Paul built in 1929 by architect L.Vitan-Dubeikovskii. The church is the successor of an older, ruined temple, of which survived only an icon.
It is a monument of wooden architecture with elements of Art Nouveau, but some researchers called temple style as «Belarusian style». Peter and Paul Church in the village Drisvyaty is the only temple of its kind in Belarus. The architecture is a pentagonal building with a five-sided apse, the porch and the sacristy, covered with a complex shape roof. The main facade highlights the high bell tower under a small dome. The walls of the church are covered with planks, cut rectangular arch and round windows.
In the interior - a unique icon of the 16th century «Adoration of the Magi», painted on lime board with oil and tempera.
The church was closed in 1970, it resumed service in the 1990s. reveal all text
