Kalvariyskoye cemetery in Minsk

The soldiers of Napoleon's army and the victims of Bolshevik terror are buried here.
Austrian soldiers were buried died in captivity during the First World War in the cemetery. There are graves of Polish soldiers who died during the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1920. During the Great Patriotic War 3000 Jews buried on the Calvary from the Minsk ghetto. In 1839 the church of the rubble has been built in the center of the cemetery. It is a monument of neo-Gothic style.
Since 1967 Kalwaria was closed. In 1990 the cemetery area was taken under state protection.The complex of buildings and burial was included in the state list of monuments of urban planning and architecture of Minsk.
