When you enter Radoshkovichi, you can see an unusual stone structure. It is like an arrow rising upwards in a silent attempt to reach the heavens. It was erected to commemorate heroic deeds of pilots who died at this place during World War II.

On 26th June, 1941 commanders of fighter squadrons Nikolai Gastello and Alexander Maslov with their crews accomplished feats at the crossroads at the entrance to the village. They fearlessly directed shot down, in flame planes to groups of German vehicles and gasoline tanks.

It was considered that the pilot Nicholai Gastello who was awarded posthumously the title of Hero of the Soviet Union accomplished his feat at the entrance to Radoshkovichi. But later it was found out that he made the brave ram attack also near Radoshkovichi, but near Migovka and Dikshnyany villages. The commander of fighter squadron Alexander Maslov and his crew displayed courage in June 1941 on the place where today there is the memorial to the pilots. But this heroic deed became known only in 1996. The pilot was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.
