Korenevka is a small village located about 7 km away from Gomel. It has been known since the XVIII century as a settlement in Gomel region.

In 1834 Korenevka became the property of Field Marshal Duke I.F.Paskevich. In the second half of the XIX century he built a brick house on the southern outskirts of the village. Initially the building was used as a distillery. But in the 60s years of the XIX century it has been completely redesigned and became the personal manor house of Duke I.F.Paskevich. The building was turned into a red-and-white mansion with a beautiful park and century-old oak trees around it. The owners of the estate went hunting in the nearest forests and invited nobles. That is why the manor later got its name «Paskevich”s Hunting House».

The manor house is an architectural monument of the second half of the XIX century. Today the state forestry agency «Experimental Forestry Base of Institute of forests” of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus is situated inside once prosperous estate.
