The “Bogudenki” Manor is a monument of wooden architecture from the late 19th – early 20th century, located in the urban settlement of Porozovo, Svislach District, Grodno Region, Belarus. This architectural landmark, once owned by the Butovt-Andzheykovich family, is a valuable example of estate architecture of its time.

History

The Porozovo manor was built by Tadeusz Butovt-Andzheykovich in the late 19th – early 20th century and served as a family estate. In 1937, local residents purchased the estate to set up a hospital and housing for a doctor. After World War II, the building housed a village hospital, which operated until 2002. In 2013, the manor was acquired by a private investor who intended to create an elite hunting club, but the project was never realized. In January 2023, the estate was put up for auction again.

Architecture

The “Bogudenki” manor was built in the so-called “Zakopane” style, combining elements of Classicism and Baroque. The wooden mansion, with an area of over 500 sq. m, features a high broken roof; its side facades are adorned with two-story towers with tented roofs. The main facade is distinguished by a faceted bay window and a grand porch with columns supporting the attic. The manor is surrounded by a 4.3-hectare park with linden and thuja alleys leading to artificial ponds.

Cultural and historical significance

The Porozovo manor is an important part of Belarus' cultural heritage, reflecting the architectural and historical features of its era. Despite years of neglect, the manor retains its historical value and attracts researchers, tourists, and lovers of antiquity.
