Synagogue in Ruzhany was built at the end of the XVIII century as a copy of Slonim, and represents a building built in the Baroque style. Over its architectural plan worked court architect Sapieha. To date, the largest synagogue practically destroyed, but inside you can see the remains of frescoes and even the rise of the four pillars in the center, where the reading of the Torah scroll - the bima.

The synagogue functioned until 1940, then it was closed by the Soviet authorities. During the German occupation during the Second World War, almost all Jews were killed by the Nazis Rouge. After the war, the building housed a yeshiva consistently warehouses, mills, boiler room and garage. Today, the synagogue is a memorial arhitekrury XVIII century and is a popular tour in Belarus.
