Historical Heritage and Location

The estate museum is located 75 km west of Minsk in a picturesque pine forest on the banks of the Usa River, a right tributary of the Neman, near the Naliboki Forest. In the 19th century, this was the estate of the noble Dzerzhinsky family – Ozembłowo-Dzerzhinovo, where Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky, a well-known revolutionary, Soviet statesman, and political figure, was born and spent his childhood.

Natural and Cultural-Historical Value

Since 1963, the Dzerzhinovo estate and its adjacent 80-hectare territory have been recognized as a natural monument of national significance. In 2002, it was included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus. This site combines rich history and unique nature, making it a valuable destination for tourists.

Territory and Key Exhibits

The museum estate covers 6.6 hectares. The entrance area includes a signpost and a site map leading to an alley of 49 boulders symbolizing the years of F.E. Dzerzhinsky’s life. Visitors can also see a bronze bust of Dzerzhinsky on a granite pedestal, a well, a cellar, and preserved foundations of historical buildings.

Estate Museum Exhibition

Restored in 2004 according to historical documents, the two-story residential house with an attic serves as the main museum exhibition. Six halls display exhibits about the Dzerzhinsky family. Authentic household items, reconstructed interiors of the living room, dining room, and office can be seen. The second floor is dedicated to the life and activities of Felix Dzerzhinsky, showcasing his personal belongings, books, photographs, and souvenirs gifted to the museum by international delegations.

Visitors can explore the exhibition independently or with a guide. Tour groups can include up to 25 people, and the tour lasts about one hour. The museum grounds feature rest areas, gazebos, event spaces for up to 50 people, and specially equipped sites for celebrations and meetings.
