Zvenchatka is mentioned in annals from the XVIII-th century middle. The village belonged to prince Potyomkin, here at it was wooden, unfortunately, not saved up to now, a palace. A surname operating a palace was Zvenchatsky – from here and the village name has gone.
During the Great Patriotic War the village has been completely burned by fascists, and after area clearing in 1943 from fascist aggressors has started to build up anew. State farm ”Zvenchatsky” has been formed in 1963, and 2000 as a result of reorganization an economy has been transformed to the unitarno-municipal agricultural enterprise state farm ”Zvetchatsky”. Today the agrosmall town Zvenchatka is one of the largest settlements in area.
