Monument to the 1000 anniversary of the Orthodox Diocese of Turov

In Turov, one of the first Orthodox dioceses in Rus' was founded, which celebrated its 1000th anniversary in 2005. This ancient spiritual center played an important role in the spread of Christianity and the cultural development of Belarusian lands.

Commemorative Sign of the Millennium of the Turov Diocese

In honor of the millennium of the Turov Diocese, a commemorative sign was erected in the form of a stone cross. This cross reminds of the miraculous stone crosses that, according to legend, appeared in these places. The solemn unveiling of the sign was accompanied by the words of Metropolitan Filaret, who emphasized the importance of preserving Turov's spiritual heritage.

According to local legend, an ancient church once stood at the site of the commemorative sign. However, its exact location and fate remain unknown. A golden dedication inscription is engraved on the stone cross, reminding future generations of the significance of this sacred place.
