Luch Minsk Watch Plant
«Luch» Minsk watch factory is one of the largest and most famous watch factories in Belarus. It was founded in 1953 and specializes in the production of wristwatches. The factory occupies an important place in the watch industry of Belarus and is the pride of local production. -
Museum Minsk Watch Plant «Luch»
The Belarusian Watchmaking Museum was opened in 2023. Here you will see sun watches, carriage watches, mantel watches, pocket watches, as well as samples of equipment that was used in the past for watch production, rare models of Luch watches produced since 1955: unique medical watches, watches for miners, the famous “ropes” and “ crabs." The museum also features interactive exhibits: a watchmaker's table, where the first watch models were assembled, a lathe from the Swiss company Tornos, and a projector for rejecting parts. Using a high-precision microscope, you can see the smallest details in a watch mechanism. Archival photographs provide an opportunity to learn more about the life of the first watchmakers, their studies and work at the Minsk Watch Factory.
