The first written mention of Snov dates back to July 18, 1478. At that time, it was an estate within the Navahrudak Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
In 1529, Snov changed ownership: Nekrashevich Fursovich transferred it to the Zygimontovich family, who from then on began to be known as the Snovskis. By the mid-16th century, the settlement had already acquired the status of a town. In the 17th century, the estate passed to the Navahrudak scribe Jan Protasovich, and later to the Rdultovsky family. From the 18th century, it was owned by the Obukhovich family until 1854, when it was purchased by Baron Gustav Harting.
Snov has witnessed many historical events. In 1812, a battle took place here between a Polish detachment under Captain Rokossovsky, part of Napoleon’s army, and Russian Cossacks. Between 1825 and 1827, Kazimir Rdultovsky built a grand palace here, featuring around 100 rooms. In 1836, a stone church replaced the old chapel, and it has survived to this day as the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian.
In 1793, after the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Snow became part of the Russian Empire. During the 19th century, the settlement became an administrative center of the volost. A brick factory, a public school, and a synagogue operated here.
After 1921, Snov was part of Poland, but in 1939, following the incorporation of Western Belarus into the BSSR, the settlement became part of the Soviet Union. In 1951, the Kalinina collective farm was established here, becoming an important agricultural center of the region. Later, it evolved into a modern enterprise – SPK «Agrocomplex Snov».
Today, Snov is not only a place with a rich historical heritage but also a dynamically developing center where traditions blend harmoniously with modern trends.

Snov is a place where history and culture intertwine with natural beauty. Its proximity to Nesvizh – one of Belarus' main historical and cultural centers – makes it a convenient stop for travelers exploring the region's landmarks.
One of Snov’s main treasures is the Church of St. John the Baptist, built in 1760 with funds from J. Kh. Rdultovsky. This majestic stone church is an example of Baroque architecture with elements of Classicism. It plays a significant role in the spiritual life of the local population and attracts tourists with its historical value and picturesque location.
Another significant religious site is the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, built in 1836 on the site of an old chapel. This Orthodox church, constructed in the classical style, is also an interesting place to visit.
History enthusiasts are drawn to the Rdultovsky estate and park complex, which in the 19th century housed a luxurious palace. Although the palace itself has not survived, elements of the park and former outbuildings serve as reminders of the estate's glorious past.
