Minsk regional ethnographic museum was created in 1959 by the decision of the Regional Council of People's Deputies as Molodechneno Regional Museum. Since 1960, has a modern name. Museum opened to the public in 1964. Since 2006 he has been working in the new building. In September 2011, a new exposition "History of Minsk region from ancient times to the early twentieth century." The museum's 76, 5 thousand exhibits, of which 48 thousand - the main collection, research and support 28.5 million items. Every year the museum holds exhibitions of various themes, as well as a series of classes "Nature and We", "On a visit to potter", "Mysteries of Belarusian hut".
