Belarussian state museum of folk architecture and household activity ”Strochitsa”

Decision on the establishment of the Belarussian state museum of folk architecture and household activity Strochitsy was adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the republic in 1976. Since that time, work is underway to establish a museum in the open air. The museum - a monument to the geological history and evolution of the landscapes of Belarus - is almost in the center of Minsk Hills, near the highest point in the country above sea level.

The museum covers an area of 151 hectares and is located 4 km from the city of Minsk in floodplains Avian and Menka. Today the museum are 3 sectors: "Central Belarus", "Dnieper" and "Lakes".
