Museum of Fire and rescue case of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus

The Museum of Fire and rescue case of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus was opened on 18 August 2001 in order to preserve the history and culture of human activities in the fields of fire fighting, as well as popularization of fire-rescue case and familiarize the general public with the traditions and the heroism of firefighters. The museum is by far the largest in the country exposure of material evidence of fire activity.

The investigation painstaking search and research work in four separate halls are subject to various periods of the existence of the fire service, starting from the early Middle Ages, when fire fighting going with improvised implements all the townspeople, and up to combat everyday brave firefighters of today. The museum has one of the museum buildings, an area of 200 square meters, where more than 5,000 museum exhibits that comprehensively cover the history of the formation and development of the fire and allow the case to discover the various pages of the heroic activity of previous generations of lifeguards at all times to protect and save lives. Materials Center are involved, not only for the development of existing exposure, but often are the basis of scientific research on many topics. They were documented evidence of previously unknown historical events, thus intensifying interest in the history of the fire and rescue affairs of Belarus in the field, and among the employees of the emergency unit and local historians. In addition, the museum organizes research project aimed at modernizing the means of fire fighting. These studies are reflected in the thematic television programs and radio, in the pages of specialized publications (including those produced by the museum), national, municipal and foreign media.

The museum is the winner of the competition public and departmental museums of the Central district of Minsk in 2008.
