News : Festival of the Vikings in Sula

The Belarusian excursion portal Ekskursii.by invites all lovers of history and chivalry culture to the Second International Festival of the Early Middle Ages "The Way of the Vikings", which will be held August 19-20, 2017 in the Park Museum of the Interactive History of Sula.

The current festival will be dedicated to the time when the legendary trade route "From the Varangians to the Greeks" that connected the Baltic and Black Seas passed through the Belarusian lands. The central event of the festival this year will be the Battle of Nemiga and the events that preceded it. The peculiarity of the event is that the storyline of the new festival is a continuation of the history shown in the previous year.

Guests of the fest await fascinating knightly battles: Circle Odin, Circle of Loki, massive wall-to-wall fights, pikemen tournament, squad battles ("battle on the bridge", storming the gate of the "castle", "guarding the king", etc.). In addition, musical groups will perform on the concert stage, dance master classes, dance games will take place. Within two days on the territory of the park will be organized zones of activity for the guests of the holiday. You will have the opportunity to shoot from a bow in a dash, learn how to throw spears and axes, learn the art of fencing, pass the obstacle course and much more.
