Empire style
Empire style has developed in France during Napoleon Bonaparte's epoch, and then has extended on many other countries. Distinctive features of this style — solemnity, magnificence, massiveness of large volumes, riches of a decor. The artists creating Empire products, derived the inspiration from elements of the antique ornament. Motives of a decor and architecture in art Empire style repeated in many respects not only the Roman samples. For architecture of an empire style Monumentalism, geometrical correctness of volumes are characteristic and Integrity (triumphal arches, columns, palaces).
After patriotic war of 1812 the empire style has appeared in Russia. It associated with riches and a glamour of nobility as demanded the most expensive and beautiful materials.
