Mokhovsky burial ground

On the territory of Loev region, 2-3 km from the village of Mokhov there are several important archaeological sites of the Miligrad culture of the early Iron Age (VII - III centuries BC), an ancient settlement, a barren and barrow cemetery.

During the excavation of the ancient settlement, conducted by scientists from the Academy of Sciences in the 1950s, remains of dwellings, a large number of household pits, an iron sickle, clay figurines and fragments of earthenware were found.

Also in the middle of the twentieth century, excavations of the uncensored burial ground were repeatedly performed. As a result, three burial places were discovered according to the ritual burning ceremony. Found fragments of ceramics and human remains.
