Memorial to the victims of the Smilovichsky ghetto

Holocaust – scary "stock" of extermination of all Jewish population in the years of existence of Fashistky Germany. From the first days of the Great Patriotic War the Holocaust became the tragedy and for Jews of Belarus. Numerous ghettoes and extermination camps, for the purpose of isolation from society and mass elimination of Jews were created. One of the first in Belarus has liquidated the Smilovichsky ghetto. In 1941 all its inhabitants, and among them – the artist's parents with a world name of Shraga Tsarfin and his younger sister with the baby have been destroyed.
