New Castle in Grodno
New Castle in Grodno is a unique attraction in Belarus that draws tourists with its rich history. Built in the 18th century, the castle served as a summer residence for Polish kings and Grand Dukes of Lithuania. In the 18th century, at the command of Augustus III, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, the construction of a new Baroque residence began. The main project was carried out by architect Carl Friedrich Pöppelmann. The castle became the setting for important historical events, including the last Sejm of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1793, during which the partition agreement was signed.

Architecture of New Castle
