Monument to shot by the fascists M. Shmyrev children was opened in 1984 and is located on the territory of high school. Made of bronze and concrete, the sculptor of the monument - A. Gvozdikov, architect - V. Yagodnitsky. The monument depicts shot by fascists M. Shmyrev children: Lisa (14 years old), Sergey (10 years old), Zina (7 years old) and Micha (3 years old).
During the war, German soldiers have arrested children of leader of the guerrilla movement M. Shmyrev (Farther Minay) and presented him an ultimatum: surrender in exchange for the lives of children. The probability of an honest performance promises fascists was extremely small, so Shmyrev not surrendered. February 14, 1942 the Nazis shot his children, and his sister and mother of died before the war wife.
