Cultural and historical center of Pinsk is geographically located on the southern outskirts of the city on the banks of the river Pina. Pinsk is a historical and cultural center of Polesie. Architectural monuments of the historic city center are the Jesuit College, the Franciscan Monastery Ensemble, St. Barbara church and the building of the former Bernardine monastery and church of Charles Baromeya, the Palace of Butrymovich, excavated the ancient city.

The Settlement of the ancient Pinsk is very badly damaged during the reconstructions that have affected its historical center. During construction of the Jesuit church and collegiuma in the XVII century the entire neighborhoods in the eastern part of the roundabout of the city were destroyed .

In the postwar period Pinsk remained ancient planning and construction (at least the end of XIX c.). The city center has been built up with one-and two-story buildings. The central square was surrounded by towering brick wall monumental buildings of the Cathedral and the Jesuit college, built in the middle of the XVII century. In its northern part was built indoor pavilion and outdoor stalls, and the south were places for trade with the carts.
