Gorodnitsa
To book a tourGorodnitsa — the administrative, cultural and industrial center of Grodno of the XVIII century, which included 85 buildings of various purpose. Built Grodno headman Antony Tiesenhause in the second half of the XVIII century to replace the small crafts manufactory.
Gorodnitsa is the construction of the first in the history of urban development in Belarus have been used new methods of design and construction, the basis of a project plan was based on planning principles of the baroque. Building consisted of three separate zones regularly-scheduled: administrative and cultural, educational, industrial and residential.
Significant place in the ensemble was given Gorodnitsa educational institutions. There were schools of veterinarians, surveyors, builders, teach them well-known scientists, architects and choreographers from different countries in Europe.
Today, the most preserved administrative and cultural zone — Tiesenhausen Palace, Vice-Admiral house, the building of Medical school, the palace of administrator, theater Tiesenhausen ( «curve ofitsin» ), house of forest administration, lyamus.
