Eclecticism

Eclecticism ( eclecticism , a historicism ) — a direction in to the architecture, dominating in Europe and Russia in 1830 - 1890 for the given style use of elements "historical" is characteristic architectural styles (Neorenaissance, Neobaroque, Neogothic style, Neomauritian style, Neobyzantian style, Pseudo-Russian style). All lines are inherent in eclecticism, on the one hand, the European architecture XV—XVIII centuries, and with another — in it there are essentially other properties. Eclecticism keeps the architectural warrant, but in it it loses the exclusiveness. Forms and styles of a building in eclecticism are adhered to its function.
