Excursion from Minsk to Kamai, Pastavy, and Luchai is a route filled with rare discoveries. In the small village of Kamai stands the fortified Church of St. John the Baptist, which has never closed since the 17th century. It houses the oldest pipe organ in Belarus and the unique painting “Christ and the Orphan.” The massive walls and towers of the church seem to guard the spiritual heritage of the past.
The next stop is Pastavy, a town made famous by the Tyszkiewicz family. Here, visitors are greeted by a majestic palace in classical style, where stories unfold about distinguished patrons, scientists, and 18th-century architecture. The route ends in Luchai — a settlement where baroque and classicism are reflected in the grand Church of St. Thaddeus. Enlightened Princess Oginska once conducted astronomical observations here, and today it is home to the world’s first monument to Pope Benedict XVI. This journey offers a rare chance to explore the Belarusian countryside, uncover hidden gems, and feel the power of spiritual traditions and the passage of time.
On request, we can organize individual or corporate tours along this route tailored to your preferences.
