Literary Museum of of Maxim Goretskogо

Literary Museum of of Maxim Goretskogо was opened in 1989 and housed in a restored his father's hut Maxim Goretskiy at the initiative of Vladimir Karatkevich and Mstislavsky local authorities. It is a typical village residential building of XIX century, which combines three parts: the dark (warm) hut, canopy and light (cold) hut. The exhibition, which is now greets visitors, was opened in 1993. It includes two halls: the literary and documentary and ethnographic household. The first part of the exhibition is devoted to the life journey of Maxim Goretskiy talks about his complex and tragic fate. The second hall acquaints with the history of the family of the writer, and also recreates the interior of a rustic hut, which were born and lived representatives of the famous kind of Goretskiy.
