The Art Gallery of Vladimir Prokoptsov was opened on 13 October 2008 to the initiative of Vladimir Prokoptsov. Famous Belarusian artist donated forty paintings, after which the museum was replenished not only works Prokoptsov, but also the works of other Belarusian artists. The museum kept the ethnography collection, the painting of modern Belarusian artists, developed and operates the museum-education program "My Land - you song and legend".
Vladimir Prokoptsov today is the CEO of the National Art Museum of Belarus, and also a member of the Commission of Belarus for UNESCO. Vladimir is also known as the candidate of art, the artist and Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.
