Memorial Museum Melezh was opened in 2009 and is attached to Khoiniki regional museum.
Ivan Pavlovich Melezh famous Belarusian Soviet novelist, playwright, essayist. He was born into a peasant family. In 1938 he graduated from the school in Khoiniki Khoiniki worked in Komsomol district committee, and in 1939 he entered the Moscow Institute of Philosophy, Literature and History, but in the first year he was drafted into the Soviet army. His first poem "Radzіme" was published in 1939. Before the war, his poems were published in the newspaper "Literature and Mastatstva", "Balshavіk Palessya" in 1943 in "Buguruslan truth."
