In the framework of the Year of Culture, May 18, 2016 National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus inaugurates art space and presents an exhibition of the photographer Marina Batyukova «Sula. Unbroken». The exhibition will feature large-format color photographs dedicated to the village rite «Leadering and burial of the boom». The discovery is complemented by music band «Toloka», a special demonstration of documentary films.
The exhibition includes Marina Batyukova's photos, a specialist in the field of documentary and conceptual photography, which explored life in the villages Neglyubka and Stolbun of Gomel region during a holiday-rite «Leadering and burial of the boom (Sula)».
The main topics of work are routine, the psychological state of the person, the human relationship with the environment and human behavior in society. Rite «Leadering and burial boom» is included in the National List of Intangible manifestations of human creativity andit is a non-material historical and cultural value of Belarus.
