Ritual events in Strochitsy January 2022
24-December-2021Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life «Strochitsy» сtogether with the Belarusian excursion portalEkskursii.by invite you to ritual events «Three Kings» on January 8 and «Shchadrets» January 15.
The ritual event «Three Kings» is a reconstruction of the holiday based on ethnographic information, remade in a modern manner with interactive elements.
January 8, 2022:- screening of the traditional Batleika puppet theater;
- reconstruction of the celebration «Three Kings» (Voronovskiy district, Grodno region);
- winter fun and games;
- herbal tea treat;
- Belarusian folk dances;
- various workshops.
«Shchadrets» - an evening of fortune-telling. Both adults and children, and especially unmarried girls, who wanted to know what awaited them in the coming year, made fortunes.
Traditional ceremonies will be held in the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. You can also read fortunes, learn to dance Belarusian dances, take part in various master classes!
January 15, 2022:- screening of the Belarusian theater «Batleika»;
- master classes;
- reconstruction of the Schadravanne rite;
- Belarusian traditional dances and games;
- traditional Christmas divination;
- performance by a folk group.
