News : Celebration of Maslenitsa in Strochitsy

Museum of Folk Architecture and Life Strochitsy invites February 22, 2015 to celebrate the traditional holiday of farewell to winter - Maslenitsa!

In Open Air Museum You are waiting merry Shrovetide festivities and fun, concert with folk songs and dances by folklore groups, master class on creating Maslenitsa Doll-amulets, animation program, popular attractions and quizzes, puppet theater «Batleika». Fans of the competition will take part in the competition «Maslenitsa Doll-2015», аand in the presence of snow and adults and children are invited to a fun competition for modeling original and interesting snow sculptures. At the end of the program will take a ritual burning of the effigy of winter - Morena.

During the event Maslenitsa everyone can get acquainted with the exposition, to make unforgettable photos, buy original souvenirs of folk artists, and enjoy generous carnival feast - hot pancakes with various fillings, tea and coffee.
