One of the brightest musical projects in the annual calendar of cultural events in Belarus, XXIX International Organ Music Festival «Zvany Safii», will take place this month in Polotsk!
The main goal of the festival is to get acquainted with the classical heritage of organ music composers of the past centuries and modern times, the organ culture of other countries and the development of international creative relations.

In the agro-town of Indura, Grodno district, November 23, 2024, a unique holiday will take place, which is often called the brand of the agro-town - «Lyalyka in Karagodze zhytstsya»! Since ancient times, «dolls» made of fabric have been a traditional toy for little Belarusians. The doll was considered a symbol of procreation, a guarantee of family happiness.
The agro-town of Indura will become the capital of dolls for a day. For the 10th time, the Indursky Cultural Center will host the Doll Festival «Lyalyka in Karagodze Zhytstsya», which has already become a special brand and significant, as evidenced by the opening of the Doll Museum in January 2019.
On this day, among the exhibits at the Indursky Cultural Center, you can see ritual, national, and modern dolls made of various materials: straw, flax, papier-mâché, textiles, etc.
Guests of the festival can enjoy performances by the Grodno Regional Puppet Theater, the "Batleyka" club of the Putrishkov Cultural Center, and a surprise from the organizers of the festival. Throughout the day, there will be a craft bazaar, master classes on making amulet dolls and everyday dances, and a game program for children.

In the agro-town of Skirmantovo, Dzerzhinsky district, a live competition, which has long been widespread in the Minsk region, will take place - the Kata Pyacha game!
Since 2017, the ritual game "Kata piachy" has been included in the list of the intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus. Every year on the eve of the Christmas Fast, the hostess bakes special pies according to a traditional recipe, from which the owner will later assemble the figure of a cat in the presence of guests – the symbolic guardian of the hearth and family well-being.
The main purpose of the ceremony: every single and unmarried participant in the action should find a mate and create a family, and the married ones lived in a happy marriage. According to tradition, it is important to bite the "cat" by the tail so that harmony and well-being reign in the family for the next year. The whole action is accompanied by folk songs, ditties, accordion dancing, and jokes.
