In March, 2017 in Novopolotsk, there is Biathlon Open City (Interstate) Novopolotsk Tournament in memory of A. Vorobiyov.

Participants in this event are invited sportsmen from Belarusian cities and neighboring countries.

Alexey Vorobiyov - a senior lieutenant of the Guard as part of the Parachute Battalion of the 104th Guards Red Banner Airborne Regiment of the 76th Guards Airborne Chernigov Red Banner Division, Hero of Russia.
