Rite «Yourie» in Ahonava

Ancient rite of celebration of the «Yourie» kept in the village Ahonava Dyatlovo district, this year it will take place May 5, 2017. Ancient agricultural festival «Yourie» is element of the intangible cultural heritage of the Grodno region. In honor of the patron Saint of domestic animals and agricultural fields arranged the procession with the performance of the unique Belarusian songs. In the morning the villagers will take part in a festive procession to the cross, festively decorated with flowers with Easter songs, and then from end to end of the village is a bypass households of young couples, who got married this year. In the evening the participants gather together in the house, eat Goodies, sing songs and walk through the night.
