Do you like high speed racing? Are you fond of the sound of sport cars engines and do you like times when drivers desperately are trying to win the race? It means that the competition for the Drag Racing Cup of Belarus is for you.

Races are held on the 9-th of October, 2010 on the runway of the airport of the city Byhov. All cars will be divided into 5 classes:

  • SL (Street Light) - cars with engine displacement under 1800 cubic see,
  • FS A (Fast Street A) – cars with engine displacement under 2300 cubic see,
  • FS B (Fast Street B) - cars with engine displacement under 3200 cubic see,
  • FS With (Fast Street C) - cars with engine displacement under 4300 cubic see,
  • US (Unlimited Street) – cars with engine displacement over 4300 cubic see

In Byhove all participants of competitions have the possibility to measure parameters of their cars according to the world professional drag racing standards. All results will be measured by the professional equipment to within 0,001 seconds. After the race all participants will receive the special list with race results. It considers different parameters:

  • driver’s reaction,
  • false starts,
  • time results of drivers passing first 60 foots
  • drivers speed on the finish

In case of rain the organizers of the competitions have defined an extra day on the 10th of October, 2010 (Sunday). It will give all participants the opportunity to show their skills in spite of weather conditions. All visitors can buy food near the race circuit.

Drag racing is a competition in which cars compete to be the first to cross a set finish line. Most drag races begin with a standing start and are just 402 meters long. Often finishing speeds are over 200 km per hour.
Races in Byhove are spent from 2005 year. Since then sportsmen have taken part in competitions not only from Belarus, but also from Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Russia.
