Ecological festival «Sporovsky haymaking»
The main event of the ecological forum is the manual haymaking championship, festival «Sporovsky hayfields» .
The main goal of the championship is to draw public attention to the important environmental problems of the preservation of Belarusian bogs and peatlands. «It's a pity for a bird!» – this catch phrase from the popular film inspired the organizers of the only manual haymaking competition in Belarus in the swamp. An extremely rare bird species lives in the marshes of the Sporovsky Nature Reserve – the twirly reed warbler, which is threatened with death on a global scale due to the overgrowth of the marshes.
