The 1st of May is one of the most strange world holidays. It became really popular in USSR. It was a real feast of soviet workers that received two additional days off, and with the efforts of the soviet authority these street festivities had a lok of latin carnivals, but it brought an obligatory character. Today it is more a tribute to the tradition and is marked by a day off.
